Chanel Earl

I’m Chanel,

I am a Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net nominated writer of short fiction and essays.  I have an MFA in creative writing from Brigham Young University, where I teach writing to undergraduates. My stories and essays have appeared in such publications as Smokelong Quarterly, Granfalloon, The Account, and Wayfare Magazine. Here you can find links to my books, online publications, teaching philosophies, and more.

About Me:

My favorite authors are Kurt Vonnegut and C. S. Lewis, but I love reading in many genres. Follow me on Goodreads to see what I am reading now.

My husband, Martin Earl, is Culinary Editor for ThermoWorks. I also have four wild children who keep me feeling both young and old at the same time.

In addition to reading and writing, I love gardening, preserving, and enjoying a small flock of chickens.
